Aim

This PhD thesis had six aims: 1) reviewed the evidence for lifestyle treatment of obesity, 2) explored cardio-metabolic burden in childhood obesity, iii) explored whether changes in body composition predicts change in insulin sensitivity (IS), iv) developed and evaluated a lifestyle obesity intervention; v) developed a mobile health application for obesity treatment and vi) tested the application in a randomised clinical trial.
