Dr Desire Naigaga wins prestigious award at the 9th Annual ASOI Conference

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Desire Naigaga has been awarded the Best Oral Presentation Award at the recently concluded 9th Annual Association for the Study of Obesity on the island of Ireland (ASOI) conference. Dr. Naigaga’s award-winning presentation focused on the LANDSCAPE study’s research into the perspectives of various stakeholders involved in paediatric obesity management in Ireland.
Drawing from work package II of the LANDSCAPE study, her presentation explored the perspectives of health leaders and professionals, highlighting the barriers and facilitators to paediatric obesity management. The insights shared were highly praised, offering valuable contributions to the ongoing conversation about improving treatment, management, care and outcomes for children and adolescents living with obesity. This research is expected to inform national policy efforts, supporting the implementation of the Model of Care for Obesity in Ireland.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Naigaga on this well-deserved recognition!
