Health Professionals Training

Clinical guidelines, health policy and health professional bodies highlight the urgent need for health professional training in the field of obesity. The majority of health professionals receive little or no training related to paediatric obesity at undergraduate or post-graduate level. Many health professionals are therefore ill-equipped to manage children with obesity in a non-judgemental, respectful and evidence-based manner. Our training work aims to improve the quality of training for health professionals in order to improve patient care and reduce stigma.
