Our Projects

Developing an understanding of obesity requires us to look objectively through many lenses. These range from that of the individual, the family and the local community to that of the country and the power structures that influence citizens lives and health status.
The Obesity Research and Care Group (ORCG) is dedicated to applying rigorous mixed-methods to explore and understand the multiple facets of obesity. By developing understanding, our team can hopefully impact the lives of others by influencing change to improve health-related policy, education, clinical practice and the lives of people across Ireland and beyond. The ORCG focuses on 6 core themes:

• Digital Health in Obesity
• Health Professionals Training
• Physical Activity & Rehabilitation
• Prevention, Advocacy & Health Economics
